When arthritis is agonizing, what works best?

I was diagnosed with arthritis at 24. The doctor never even told me what kind, so I assume it’s osteoarthritis (both hips and knees). When I started having symptoms at age 19, I was anything but overweight. I’ve no idea why I got it at such a young age. It has gotten worse in the recent past-almost unbearable at times. Heating pads don’t help much, and I only have a shower-no tub. I used to exercise regularly, but lately, I haven’t had the time. When I don’t exercise, the pain gets severe. There are times, at night, when I literally cannot move without screaming. I’m wondering what over-the-counter meds really work best when it gets like that. I don’t want to take both analgesics and NSAIDs at the same time, but I have. My dr. gave me Ultracet as well, but a limited amount, and no refills. I’m getting back into the exercise routine, but until I build some muscle around those joints again, I want to know others’ experiences with otc pain pills. I also take Osteo Biflex regularly.

I had no problem after the operation. It all started when i’ve been traveling from my place to my spouse’s place which is one-hour drive for almost 2 days in a week.then the pain started. The pain is unbearable than sometimes i chose not to stand, walk or sit. When i am lying, the pain goes away. What should i do?I called my OB already, she just prescribed some analgesics for pain. But it still hurts for almost 3days now.Should i have it checked or is it normal to feel pain from time to time?

I need help to think of the perfect name for my new horse. He is a rescue horse. ?

I would like suggestions for a unique, very meaningful name for the new horse I just got. He is a 13 year old gelding. half/arab-half bashkir/curly, 14.2 hands. He lived in absolutely horrific conditions for 7 years! I won’t go into all the sad details, but when I got him, it was heart-breaking to see a horse in such bad physical and emotional shape…. he had been twitched and tied up to a tree while an inexperienced person removed his wolf teeth, with no analgesics or sedatives, for one example. He came to our family and is now filling out, his scars are fading, he is beginning to trust me, and he turned out to be extremely well broken for English hunt seat. He is a bay with dark points, a white blaze on his face, and he has little patches of his bashkir-curly inherited coat, all over his body. He has been through hell and back; now he will live out the rest of his days with me and my other horse, as my personal trail horse and buddy. He has a goofy personality; he is really funny to watch, and sometimes he acts like a clown, or just a big dork!! He is so loveable and does not have a mean bone in his body, but seems so grateful for being rescued. I am trying to think of a meaningful name for him to carry the rest of his life. The people who mistreated him called him “Ned the Dead”, because he was a laid back horse when they got him, who turned into a very timid, downright terrified boy who never fought back when being tortured. That name makes me nauseous, and I don’t ever want to hear him called that again! Please help me find a name..and please, I have already heard the obvious..Lucky, Chance, Patches, King, Prince etc. I am looking for something unusual that has a meaning pertaining directly to him and what his life has been. Put on your thinking caps, please and help me out!!!!! :)
